Services and history
The Kingfish Junior Program is a year-round, non-contact tag rugby academy designed as a weekend or after-school extracurricular activity open to all skill levels and ages (6–16 years). Delivered by Hong Kong’s championship-winning Kingfish coaches, it nurtures young athletes through fun, progressive training that builds technical mastery, physical confidence, and team spirit—outside the school day.
With a spiral curriculum—from basic motor skills to elite decision-making—every child progresses at their pace, enjoying a safe, low-risk introduction to rugby that complements school PE.
Structure:
U8–U10 (Lil’ Kingfish): Touch rugby – focus on evasion, passing, fun games
U11–U13 (Rising Kingfish): Tag rugby – add tagging, strategy, positional play
U14–U16 (Elite Kingfish): Advanced tag – kicking, set plays, match simulation
Fully equipped: Kingfish supplies tag belts, balls, bibs, cones
Mixed-gender, SEND-inclusive: Adaptive drills, visual aids, 1:1 support
Coaching: 1 Lead + 1 Assistant per 15 players (all DBS-checked, HKRU-certified, first aid trained)

The Kingfish Junior All Year Program
The Kingfish Academy is a comprehensive, 12-week non-contact rugby program expertly crafted to integrate into your school’s PE curriculum. Led by Hong Kong’s championship-winning Kingfish coaches, it delivers tagrugby for primary students (Years 6–9) and secondary students (Years 9–12), using a progressive, game-centered approach that develops physical literacy, social-emotional resilience, and lifelong engagement in sport—all with zero equipment cost, full safety compliance, and EDB alignment.
